Isopentane
Isopentane is a very fast evaporating hydrocarbon solvent that consists essentially of branched pentanes. The solvent is low in impurities such as sulphur, olefins, benzene and total aromatics and typically finds use as a blowing agent, aerosol propellant or internal coolant in gasphase polymerisation processes.
Pentane 60/40
Pentane 60/40 is a blend of 60% n-pentane and 40% isopentane. It is a very fast evaporating hydrocarbon solvent and low in impurities such as sulphur, olefins, benzene and total aromatics. Typically this product finds use in applications where high volatility is required. Blowing agent, aerosol propellant and electronic cleaning are examples of such applications. Blend ratios other than 60/40 are available.
Pentane 80/20
Pentane 80/20 is a blend of 80% n-pentane and 20% isopentane. It is a very fast evaporating hydrocarbon solvent and low in impurities such as sulphur, olefins, benzene and total aromatics. Examples of end uses for this solvent are blowing agent, electronic cleaning and polymerisation. Blend ratios other than 80/20 are available.
n-Pentane
n-Pentane is a fast evaporating hydrocarbon solvent that consists predominantly of the linear C5 paraffin. The solvent is low in impurities such as sulphur, olefins, benzene and total aromatics. Examples of end uses for this solvent are blowing agent, aerosol propellant and electronic cleaning.
SARASOL 40
SARASOL 40 is a narrow boiling range paraffinic solvent. The low sulfur and aromatics content make it an ideal solvent for low odor applications such as dry cleaning, wall-paper, lamp fuel, bbq lighter fluids and special indoor paints.
SARASOL 75
SARASOL 75 is a narrow cut specialty hydrocarbon solvent of high paraffinicity. It has high bio-degradability and is considered to be an environmental friendly product. The manufacture of pesticides (aerosol) and metalworking fluids are typical applications of this solvent.
SARASOL 85
SARASOL 85 is an odorless, colorless, waterwhite aliphatic solvent. The low sulfur and aromatic contents make it suitable eg as solvent in environmental friendly specialty household products, or insecticide and pesticide formulations.
SARASOL 120
SARASOL 120 is an odorless and colorless specialty hydrocarbon of high paraffinicity. The high bio-degradability and very low sulfur and aromatic contents make this solvent not only suitable for general industrial uses, but also as smokeless 2-T motorcycle oil.
