Acetone (solvent)

Acetone is a colourless, low boiling liquid with characteristic odour. It is miscible in all proportions with water, alcohols, many hydrocarbons and other organic liquids. It has good solvent properties for vegetable and animal fats, cellulose ether, natural and synthetic resins and many other organic substances.

Acetone HP

Acetone HP is a high purity solvent manufactured directly from IPA. This makes Acetone HP particularly suitable for use in the pharmaceutical industry. This high quality solvent also features the properties of standard grade Acetone such as high volatility, water-white colour, characteristic odour, and miscibility in all proportions with water, alcohols, many hydrocarbons and other organic liquids. Also it has outstanding solvent properties for vegetable and animal fats, cellulose ether, natural and synthetic resins and many other organic substances.

Diisobutyl ketone

Diisobutyl ketone is a clear liquid with a pleasant, faintly fruity odour. It is completely miscible with most organic solvents and thinners but is insoluble in water.

Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK)

Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) is a colourless, low viscosity liquid with a mild odour similar to that of acetone. It is completely miscible with many organic liquids, but miscible with water to only a limited extent. With natural and synthetic resins, MEK produces solutions with low viscosity and high solids content.

Methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK)

Methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) is a colourless, medium boiling liquid, with a characteristic mild odour. It is miscible with the common solvents and diluents, but only slightly with water. MIBK forms azeotropic mixtures with various solvents and with water. MIBK has good solvent power for nitrocellulose, many natural and synthetic resins and can produce solutions of low viscosity and high solids content.
