Q.  Why is Shell concerned with the use of isocyanates when your main interest is in being a polyols supplier?

A. Shell chemicals companies are recognised as industry leaders when it comes to health, safety, security and the environment and product stewardship. In view of the hazards associated with the di-isocyanates used by the polyurethanes industry and ever evolving national regulations, we believe additional measures need to be taken to encourage the safe use of these products by customers and their employees on their premises. It is one way in which we fulfill our commitment to being a responsible supplier.
