Business process alignment

The alignment process is designed to create awareness and dialogue among product business leaders around how business decisions can be better informed by environmental, economic and social criteria. The 2005 performance has maintained the level of alignment achieved in 2004.

The focus for 2006 will be on improving the alignment of SD and business processes at the Chemicals corporate level, in areas such as capital allocation, acquisitions and divestments, and portfolio development.

Target

SD goal: by 2007, increase the alignment of business processes with SD by 40%, relative to 2002.
