ShellSol D38
ShellSol D38 is a narrow cut mineral spirit type hydrocarbon solvent manufactured to combine an improved flash point level with fast drying characteristics. The high degree of general refining gives this solvent its low level of impurities such as sulphur, olefins, benzene and total aromatics, and low odour.
ShellSol D40
ShellSol D40 is derived from Low Aromatic White Spirit which has been highly refined and reacted with hydrogen to convert aromatics to cycloparaffins. This deep hydrogenation results in products of controlled composition with very low aromatic contents, negligible reactive impurities and a low, sweet odour. ShellSol D40 consists predominantly of C9-C11 paraffins and naphthenics.
ShellSol D43
ShellSol D43 is a wider cut, mineral spirit type hydrocarbon solvent with slightly increased heavy end content. The high degree of general refining gives this solvent its low level of impurities such as sulphur, olefins, benzene and total aromatics, and low odour.
ShellSol D60
ShellSol D60 is derived from selected petroleum feedstocks which have been highly refined and reacted with hydrogen to convert aromatics to cycloparaffins. This deep hydrogenation results in products of controlled composition with very low aromatic contents, negligible reactive impurities and a low, sweet odour. ShellSol D60 consists predominantly of C10-C12 paraffins and naphthenics.
ShellSol DSC
In the range of aliphatics, ShellSol DSC is a narrow cut hydrocarbon solvent manufactured specifically to combine a flash point >61°C (>142°F) with fast drying characteristics. It has undergone a high degree of general refining that results in a low level of impurities such as sulphur, olefins and aromatics and also leads to a high stability and a low odour. Despite the faster evaporation, with a flash point >61°C, for transport ShellSol DSC generally may be classified as combustible rather than as flammable liquid.
ShellSol D70
In the range of aliphatics, ShellSol D70 is a slower evaporating hydrocarbon solvent. It has undergone a high degree of general refining that results in a low level of impurities such as sulphur, olefins and aromatics and also leads to a high stability an
ShellSol D80
ShellSol D80 is a low viscosity, colourless solvent with a low aromatics content and a mild odour.
ShellSol D90
In the range of Aliphatics ShellSol D90 is a higher flash, slower evaporating hydrocarbon solvent. It has undergone a high degree of general refining that results in a low level of impurities such as sulphur, olefins and aromatics and also leads to a high stability and a low odour.
ShellSol D100
In the range of aliphatics, ShellSol D100 is a high flash, slow evaporating hydrocarbon solvent. It has undergone a high degree of general refining that results in a low level of impurities such as sulphur, olefins and aromatics and also leads to a high stability and a low odour. With a vapour pressure at 20°C below 10Pa, for the European solvents emission directive ShellSol D100 is classified as a non-VOC solvent.
ShellSol D100 S
In the range of Aliphatics ShellSol D100 S is a high flash, slow evaporating hydrocarbon solvent. ShellSol D100 S has undergone a high degree of carefully controlled refining. The solvent is certified BfR ("Bundesinstitut fur Risikobewertung") compliant, implying its suitability for use in food and related applications. Furthermore the solvent is low in levels of impurities such as sulphur, olefins and aromatics and possesses a high stability and low odour. With a vapour pressure at 20°C below 10Pa, for the European solvents emission directive ShellSol D100 S is classified as a non-VOC solvent.
