In the Asia Pacific region, Shell chemicals companies rely primarily on road shipments and marine transport to deliver products to customers. Road safety is, therefore, a key area of focus. As a result, time and resources are invested in continually improving aspects of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) performance and ensuring regulatory compliance in the countries through which products are transported.
In this presentation, Chen-An Loh discusses some of the challenges that have to be overcome and gives specific examples of the steps taken to implement new legislation as well as to improve safety for both contracted truck drivers and general road users.
